Michelle is a fellow of the ISTD in Modern Theatre and Tap, and an approved tutor for DDE Modern and Tap as well as a qualified Ballet teacher in both Imperial Classical Ballet and the Cecchetti method of classical Ballet.

 

Michelle is also a well established Stott Pilates instructor.

 

Michelle trained at Bush Davies and Elmhurst Ballet Schools before performing as a professional dancer for over 10 years around the world.

 

After starting her dance teaching career in Alberta, Canada with the Edmonton School of Ballet, Michelle moved back to England with her family to continue her love of dance teaching. She began teaching at the Gielgud Academy of Performing Arts in 2012 and then was honoured to take over the Karen Hollebon School of Dance in Burgess Hill, re-fashioned as the the Walkhouse School of Dance in 2018. Michelle has now consolidated the Gielgud Academy with the Walkhouse School of Dance to form the Walkhouse Gielgud Academy of Performing Arts.

 

Michelle has now been teaching for over 20 years in ISTD Ballet, Modern, Tap and Contemporary and continues to love inspiring and teaching her students to become the best that they can be, and inspiring them with her passion for performing.
